1. Arrive fashionably early
Give yourself some peace and quiet to work in. Getting there early before the hustle and bustle of the work day begins provides you with the ideal work environment. Think about it: No one is coming up to you asking you how your weekend was, you don’t have to make pointless small talk at the coffee station. It’s just you and your work. And the best part is… the earlier you get there, the earlier you can leave!
2. Make a list
Being able to see all your tasks visually is so much easier than trying to keep up with them in your head. Try this: At the end of your work day, make a to-do list of everything you will need to do the next day. Order the list by importance, putting the most important or time sensitive tasks at the top. A bonus is the motivation you will feel from crossing tasks off and watching your list dwindle down.
3. Take your 15
Sitting at your desk for hours upon hours can be draining. Get up and get some fresh air and daylight! This will energize you and when you get back to your desk you’ll be ready to take on your next project!
4. Get yourself some goals
Set your goals out for a few months or a year. This way you have something you are working towards. Post your goals on your desk where they are visible so that you have a constant reminder of why you need to work hard!
